It’s that time of year again when I create my Halloween hidden picture finder.
This year I drew a group of trick-or-treaters for my illustration.
The hidden elements are the letters that spell out the phrase HAPPY HALLOWEEN.
I started with a rough sketch for my illustration.
I don’t always draw a pencil sketch, sometimes I start drawing straight in an art program such as Adobe Illustrator.
The pencil sketch helps me establish a base for my illustration.
I then place the pencil sketch on a layer in Adobe Illustrator. I set the layer to Template.
Then I add a layer above the Template layer. And that is were I start drawing my illustration.
In the above picture I am starting to draw in my basic shapes in Adobe Illustrator.
The finished illustration will publish on Sunday, Oct. 26 in the York Daily Record/Sunday News print edition.
